Besides the numerous benefits of finding calm, they can reveal the stories already woven into our lives. One of the best tools to tap into this? A gratitude journal.

I've been keeping a gratitude journal for a few years now, and it's a game-changer. Not only does it bring a sense of peace, but it also shines a spotlight on your unique achievements and strengths. Here's an example of when I focused too much on myself:

I recently had two essential appointments scheduled simultaneously, and I was frustrated that I couldn't be in both places or reschedule either. I felt I was letting others down. But I had no choice but to rely on a colleague to attend the meeting in my place. She did a tremendous job, stepping up like she always does. Not only did everything go smoothly, but it was also an excellent opportunity for her to show others what she was capable of. I was reminded that giving platforms to others can lift them up and not let them down! So the next time I find myself in a similar situation, I will ask myself: who might benefit from this situation?


This is the magic of gratitude journaling. Reflecting on your successes and struggles creates a foundation for a genuine and powerful story - creating an impact for you and others!
